Information here: https://www.transportationchoices.ca/slow-food-cycle-2024

  • Self-guided family-friendly 20km bicycle tour of fourteen venues featuring fresh produce, food trucks and stalls, farm animal visits, food samples, two cideries, a distillery, and a beer farm, artisanal goods, a garden maze, and a scavenger hunt. Wrap-up party at Persephone Brewing from 4-7 featuring local music band Brothers in Farms.
  • Tickets are $20 for nonmembers and $15 for TraC members. Children 18 and under attending with their families ride for free. Get your spot early as tickets are limited to 500 and expected to sell out. “There is a strong interest from on-coast and mainland riders, which will provide a nice diversity to the event,” says Anderson. “We recommend that anyone planning on attending register within the next few weeks to ensure they’ve got a spot, as it appears we may sell out quicker than anticipated.”

Sunshine Coast Slow Food Cycle is organized by Transportation Choices (TraC),a local member-based nonprofit organization that works to support healthy communities and reduce the Sunshine Coast’s carbon footprint by promoting more active and sustainable transportation alternatives to private vehicles, such as walking, transit and cycling. Initiatives include the Connect the Coast multi-use path, the Sunshine Coast Slow Food Cycle, and the first-ever Car-Free on Cowrie Day happening this September.
