Woodinville is located near the Sammammish River Trail which links to the Burke-Gilman Rail-Trail into Seattle.
Wine and cycling combined…
We loaded up the bikes on the bike rack on the front of a Seattle City bus and headed up to Woodinville Washington to taste some wine. The area is host to dozens of wineries and breweries so there is lots to see and do. Woodinville Wine Country has a map of the area.

St. Michelle Winery feels like a vineyard in France.
Here you can purchase a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers and a blanket for a picnic in the vineyard by the lake.
Here they host the Summer Concert Series with many artists performing in the amphitheatre amidst the vineyard.

After exploring a few wineries we found the Sammammish Trail and headed north to where it connected with the Burke-Gilman Trail. We rode the afternoon along this great Rails-to-Trails route all the way back to our hotel in downtown Seattle. A great way to see this part of the world !
