RIDE CANCELLED
““Due to the B.C. current state of emergency and in support of the Electoral Area A, our neighbours under evacuation order and alert, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Slow Food Cycle,” the website reads.”
See you next year!
A CELEBRATION OF FOOD, FARMERS AND THE JOYS OF BIKING
• The popular Pemberton Slow Food Cycle is back! Mark your calendar for August 20, 2023. In the meantime, you can enjoy the route on your own. It’s a fantastic ride on a quiet country road through the valley. Stop by Beer Farmers, North Arm Farm or visit the many great restaurants in town.
The annual Slow Food Cycle Sunday is an opportunity to connect — town folk and city folk, consumers with their food, people with the land. Slow Food Cycle Sunday is a pedal powered trip through the natural buffet that is Pemberton Meadows farmland to meet local farmers and sample produce fresh from the field. You will also have the opportunity to purchase local goodies, crafts and much more along the way. Set your own pace and choose your own itinerary along the 40 kilometre or so route.
Registration and information at Tourism Pemberton.
Thanks to David Steers for the photos above.
There’s cows and veggies … and so much more. Use the shuttle service and you can shop then pick up your delicious purchases at the end of the ride. All routes are flat and easy, with maps and signs.
Load up the bikes, take a tent and stay in a camp ground or hotel it and enjoy a family touring weekend or just go out for the day.
See you there!
